Mission
Help riders and drivers in the mountains connect without guesswork: fair numbers before the trip starts, checks that mean something, and a live view of the ride from pickup to drop-off.
About us
We're a small team based in the hills. Our job is straightforward: show the fare before someone books, help riders follow the trip on the map, and give drivers tools that work when the road turns sharp or the weather shifts.

Who we are
Ryde Mountain is a handful of people who build software, talk to drivers, and spend time on the same roads our riders use. We've watched friends haggle for a fair price, wait without knowing if a cab is really nearby, and worry when fog rolls in faster than expected.
City apps are built for grids and straight lines. We're building for winding routes, seasonal rush, and the kind of day where a landslide or a sudden storm means everyone has to adjust. That means clear prices up front, drivers who actually know the terrain, and support that doesn't sound surprised when you say you're stuck above the lake.
Our story
We kept hearing the same thing from riders and drivers: prices felt random, booking still ran through too many phone calls and middlemen, and nobody liked guessing whether a ride was truly on the way. In hill towns, a trip isn't abstract. It's a parent getting home before dark, a tourist catching a train, or a driver trying to fill the day without burning fuel on empty runs.
So we decided to learn in one place first, on real routes, with real feedback. If a feature doesn't hold up on a steep climb or a busy weekend, we fix it or drop it. Pickup times, rough weather, and trust between stranger in seat and driver at the wheel: that's the bar.
We're early. We'll say that plainly. We're opening in Nainital first, then adding nearby areas only when drivers and support can keep quality high. If that sounds like the kind of honesty you want from a travel app, you're exactly who we're building for.
Mission & vision
In one sentence each: why we show up, and what success looks like a few years from now.
Help riders and drivers in the mountains connect without guesswork: fair numbers before the trip starts, checks that mean something, and a live view of the ride from pickup to drop-off.
Hill travel shouldn't feel like a gamble. We want a network where local drivers are the default choice, routes are respected for what they are, and towns along the way see real benefit—not just traffic passing through.
Values
When we disagree internally, these are the ideas we come back to.
We'd rather serve Nainital and nearby hills well than spread thin. Knowing the road beats a big logo on a billboard.
Profiles you can read, checks that matter, and safety tools you can find without hunting through menus. Trust is what people feel after a good trip, not a slogan.
If the price only makes sense after the ride ends, we haven't done our job. You should know what you're agreeing to before the engine starts.
Drivers, riders, and local partners tell us what breaks first. We take that seriously, especially as we open new stretches beyond our first launch.
